We are delighted to invite you this half day event. Mersey Care wants to develop capacity and knowledge in clinical staff to support the delivery of clinical research trials to give service users the opportunity to take part in trials. To do this safely, and within legislation, staff and the Trust must develop expertise in clinical trials. We all need to be aware of individual and Trust responsibilities when supporting and conducting high quality clinical trials.

We have been given a unique opportunity to hear from an expert in this area who will be sharing her knowledge of clinical trial management and compliance. This half-day event will start with registration at 9.00am and end with a networking lunch at 12.15pm. The session will provide you with a summary of the current legislation, distinguish between what is ‘Law’ and ‘Guidance’ and offer advice on quality issues and problem areas. This is an opportunity for staff to learn about the principles of international, ethical and scientific quality standards when designing, conducting, recording and reporting clinical trials and the standards needed to ensure that service users rights, safety and well-being are protected.
