The team oversee the Clinical Audit Programme for the Trust working from a yearly Forward Plan, featuring National, Contract and Local Audit (audits are put forward through Divisional Governance Meetings) as well as the Junior Doctors Audit Programme where we complete an Audit Topic on Induction. The Clinical Audit Team are supported by a Medical Audit Lead, Dr Segun Popoola who offers expert advice around Audit and QI to Trainees and along with the Medical Education Team, facilitates Audit Meetings as part of the teaching programme.
The team also provides support to the CQC Team setting up the Self-Assessments for all Wards and Teams on AMaT, creating and archiving teams which have merged or are no longer needed. Further support is provided to the IPC Team to facilitate their Audit Programme on AMaT. The team offers advice and guidance to staff members undertaking Masters Qualifications who opt to complete audit as part of their dissertation and any other staff members completing an audit.
